The Roma and Travellers Division is opening a training for interested Roma and non-Roma journalists and media representatives from EU countries, aiming at raising awareness on the Roma Holocaust education, as well as combat disinformation, Roma Holocaust denial and/or distortion.

The session is foreseen to take place in Berlin, on 26 and 27 September 2025, and is organised within the Council of Europe – European Union Joint Programme “Roma Holocaust Remembrance and Education (RomaMemory)”.

Tools, knowledge and materials developed by the European Union, the Council of Europe, the Bavarlipe Roma Online University, as well as the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) will be presented, so that participants can contribute to an increased ethical visibility of Roma history in the media and/or to promote education on the Roma Holocaust and remembrance.

Interested journalists and media representatives are requested to fill the form below by 25 August 2025, 18:00 (CET) to register to the training. Selected applicants will be contacted by the Secretariat.
