The EU’s proposed Transparency and Targeting of Political Advertising regulation (TTPA) reshapes campaign communications, but enforcement remains inconsistent. Hungary’s 2026 election illustrated this gap: despite legal restrictions, Fidesz deployed AI-generated content that skirted regulations, while approximately 90% of disinformation still came from domestic sources. This webinar examines TTPA’s core mechanics: transparency requirements, targeting restrictions, and content authenticity standards, and explores where loopholes emerge and how regulation translates into electoral reality. Anna Donath (former MEP and architect of the TTPA regulation) and Gev Rotem (Connexa) will discuss the intent behind these rules and the real-world obstacles to their implementation.
