Project „Democracy over disinformation“ seeks to explore what effects disinformation and other interferences have for democratic debate and to counter it by improving media literacy of citizens.
Project is created by 3 organizations from 3 European countries – Lithuania, Germany and Italy.
Aims of the project:
- to raise awareness of disinformation and fake news phenomena and importance of media literacy, especially in relation to democratic debate.
- to promote cross-sectoral cooperation by involving into project municipalities, libraries, universities /schools/(youth) NGOs, youth centres and in this way ensure visibility and success for the project.
- to create network between Southern, Western and Eastern European countries in order to work together for the benefits of EU and disseminate its values.
During the project, 4 international conferences are held in Kaunas, Potsdam, Palermo and online. It is the 3rd conference of this project.Start of the event: 24th of June, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
