We live in times of multiple crises and growing insecurity about our future. How do young Europeans between the age of 18 and 25 cope with these challenges? And what does it mean to be European today?
The Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft and the Schwarzkopf Foundation – Young Europe would like to invite you to the launch of the narrative report ‚Taking Europe Personally: Young Narratives of Europe‘, on Wednesday, 1st March 2023 from 18:00 – 20:00. The event will take place in Berlin at the Q-Club, Friedrichstraße 181, 10117.
For the report ‚Taking Europe Personally‘ the Schwarzkopf Foundation has asked young volunteers who are active in European Citizenship Education about their take on contemporary conflicts and their visions for Europe’s future.
After the presentation of the report, we will discuss these different perspectives and questions around European identities and the dynamics of (non)-belonging with Dr Funda Tekin (Director of the Institute for European Politics Berlin), Visar Xhambazi (Policy Analyst and Researcher), Samira Brahimi (“Thinking of Europe” Fellow 2022) and Noé Letourneux (Peer Educator Understanding Europe, Cité des Chances).
